Travel diaries: Brighton

Here in New Romney office we sometimes organise trips together to the surrounding cities and sometimes even a bit further away. This is the first part of our travel diaries to let you know the highlights of the trip and the city.

The first part of the travel diaries focuses on Brighton which we went to see on August 11th with a group of 12 people in total. The main reason we chose this day was that many of the interns are leaving soon to start school in their own countries and they wanted to see the city before leaving as they had heard only nice things about it.

First we took a bus to Rye where we changed to train to Brighton. We could not have chosen a better day as the weather was very “un-British” and the sun was shining from a cloudless sky. At least the breeze from the sea saved us from too much heat.

When we arrived to Brighton we started searching our way first to the beach because for us that was the main attraction in the city. On our way we saw the Royal Pavilion and walked through the city streets. At the beach we headed to the the Brighton Pier where some of us enjoyed the rides, and we had lunch at the seaside with a beautiful view. Rest of the day we spent walking around the city and enjoying the weather the company of other interns. When it started getting later we started our trip home by train and bus again.

We enjoyed Brighton very much and it is a beautiful city which we will recommend to all the interns who will be coming here after us.
